My name is David Ansell and I am a lecturer at Pilbara TAFE Newman Campus. My hobbies include photography and bush walking. Lately neither has taken up much of my time. This site has been created so that I can develop an online presence for my work and my hobbies. At this stage my hobbies will take a back seat as I develop a site suitable for the delivery of computer training. The computer training will focus on the applications found in Microsoft Office 2003. I hope to be able to expand the site as I develop skills using Adobe Photoshop specific to digital photos. Moodle will the learning environment used for the delivery of computer training. As I live in Western Australia the training will be developed to cater for the nationally recognised courses, ICA10105 Certificate I in Information Technology and ICA20105 Certificate II in Information Technology.
I have been teaching Information technology for 10 years and have found it challenging at times. Newman is a small town in the north of Western Australia and my general focus in teaching has been on Office applications. I have resisted the urge to branch out into web design in the past but that is no longer an option. This site will probably see a number of variations before I settle on a layout that I am comfortable with. The process of site development is new to me so I will probably make a few mistakes for these I apologise in advance.
At a later date I hope to add some information about the Newman Photography Club of which I am a member. This information will provide members of the community will information on local sites of interest from the prospect of the club.
If you want to provide some constructive criticism I will be happy to receive it. Click here to email David
