My name is David Ansell and I am a lecturer at Pilbara TAFE Newman Campus. My hobbies include photography and bush walking. I have a colleague and a friend who also like bushwalking and so over the last year we have walked many of the gorges and other locations in the vicinity of Newman. I will try to add some other pages to this site to show some of the scenery in and around Newman Western Australia.
I have been teaching Information technology for 15 years and have found it challenging at times. Newman is a small town in the north of Western Australia and my general focus in teaching has been on Office applications.
I have taught for a number of years a night class in Digital Photography. The class has been quite successful in helping those new to digital photography improve their skills in general photography and how digital photography differs from the use of film. Fewer and fewer people now remember what film photography was like so the focus of the course is changing. The class is based on a unit from Certificate 2 in Information Technology - Capture a digital image. Further information on this class can be obtained from Client Services Newman Campus Pilbara TAFE - 08 9158 2300.
If you want to provide some constructive criticism I will be happy to receive it. Click here to email David
Thank you
