This course will provide the particpant with skills to use Microsoft Office application Word to complete typical tasks that would be assigned to an IT worker in a medium sized organisation. It is important that an IT worker is able to provide timely and appropriate advice to other workers in an organsiation. Topics covered include editing documents, formatting text, inserting graphics and creating headers and footers. You will also learn how to use the mail merge function, create and use templates, and insert and format tables.

The catch-cry today seems to be 'you can get it on the Internet!' In this course you will learn about the origins of the Internet as well as hardware and software related to Internet use. You will learn how to create an internet connection and use Microsoft Internet Explorer to navigate websites. You will learn about electronic mail through the use a web based email application (Hotmail). Creating address book enteries adding attachments and sending to multiple recipants is included in this course.
